I know some here have had trouble reconciling the title with the lyrics. But that is a mystery that Bruce has gifted us with like so many of his works. The question may be more how it makes you feel rather than the literal lyrics, and on that score it is a masterpiece. Any song that can combine hope, faith and Ben E. king, while making you feel like a teenager, and do it all in 3 minutes and 21 seconds is truly special. (See "Girls In Their Summer Clothes").

Gotta love Bruce. He plays good rock pop folk music with great warmth and love and honesty and great joy in life. Almost finished listening to his narration of his autobiography on Audible, on chapter 53: it's as long and as generous as his concerts. You need to stop as your songs sort of sound like ones you wrote before. I’m massive fan but your songs are now monotonous in the way they sound both lyrically and musically. It’s sounds like The Rising album all over again. Nothing fresh. What happened to sounds from your earlier cds, the river, born in the USA, etc. recapture that sound and originality not this ho hum crap you’re putting out.

And i will say a prayer to St, Anthony, (you know, the patron of lost things? lol i got a bridge over the Grand Canyon i am selling Boss? lol) i said, "Oh thanks Spatz. i got a red phone to The Throne. i don't know, It's just a wedding band. i am just a sentimental lady. Thanks though." AND do you know that i found it right away and when my husband walked in i said, "Spatz called. You are suppose to call him back. Oh and tell him thanks,for his prayer that i just found my wedding band i had been looking for for hours. SEE. That is what we call in pentecostalism as The Prayer of Agreement. Jesus said, "Verily (that means this is for sure, a surety) if any (who? believers in Jesus) agree, as touching anything they should ask, it shall be done by My Father which is in heaven." See no matter whether good hearted Spatz prayed to a dead person a Pope decided was a saint and designated special as a patron for lost things or whatever or i pray in tongues. Two believers in Jesus, when they ask GOD for something, get it. The Power of Prayer of Agreement. GOD looks on the heart. Actually you could pray backwards or unlearned prayers or last ditch effort emergency prayer, for GOD already sees you, your heart and He knows the need even before you ask. But we come humbly and we ask, in faith, believing all things come together for good for those who love THE LORD, who have a conscience towards GOD. GOD knows this. See that is why the devil attacks marriage so hard. If he can get strife, trouble, troubling, hardship or misunderstanding to come between a husband and a wife, well, it isn't good. It is also written that the devil himself knows how to separate the VERY CHIEFESTS OF FRIENDS. Isn't that awful. The devil according to The Book of Job, GOD tells Job, this is one very bad dude. Really bad. GOD created Lucifer and GOD said He is one of if not the most powerful angelic beings He created and Lucifer did high treason on GOD and like a bolt of lightening was kicked out of heaven. He caused havoc on earth and it's a war. The devil hates love. The devil hates GOD. The devil don't love you, because you were made in the image of GOD, quite capable of working as ONE with GOD. So just thought i would mention that today. Men and women for that matter need Jesus. We need to stay in a prayerlife, communication with a open book. The bible, to daily grow in love and in knowledge and in grace. People even well meaning people accuse GOD of doing things or asking prayer for stuff He can't even answer. Jesus said, "You will know THE TRUTH." And "THE TRUTH will set you free." If you were a POW and all you had on you was a love letter from your girl and letters from Mom and Dad, i guarantee you, everyday you would pull them out and read them over and over again until you were freed and returned safely home. You should see the bible as GOD's love letters to you. Men and women for that matter need to come up alongside a more mature leaned teacher. A pastor. Love your Pastor. Love the Word of GOD.
