Is meeting up with people who you share a common cause/concern/interest with ONLY allowed if you're a liberal? And dont tell me that right wingers are the only ppl who group up in order to incite violence.

  • you are correct there is often some kernel to all conspiracy. Some are surprisingly rational it just requires one adopt a critical stance to society. JFK is likely one however the gunman in the theory i subscribe to involves the secret service in the car behind him and explains all of their cover ups. did that gun go off accidentally as a result of the cars speeding up after oswald hit JFK? or did they know and wanted to make it look like an accident. i tend to believe it was accidentally due to the ad-hoc way the secret service scrambled to cover it up. to me, it couldn't have been organized. it would have been cleaner?

  • 48:05 hit the hammer on the head. and yet so many still vote in politicians that tow the neo-liberal line. neo-liberalism is the geo-political movement the Left and the Right hate and yet there is more political divide. i find this bewildering

  • Alex Jones nor anyone should be cancelled. how can irrationality be addressed if its never given a voice. what we need is the presence of smarter more rational mind online not less irrational ones. censor is a greek term referred to this dude that was jobbed with controlling the moral discourse of particular areas of rome. Censorship has a dirtyyyy etymology. and hate speech is like porn hard to define but u know when u see it and it is unconstructive and superfluous enough to regulate but not eliminate; thats Nazi talk.

  • comedy may in fact be the last bastion of cultural critique or critical original novel thought....the day art became a commodity, dissent was dissolved into the 'culture industry' -Frankfurt School....in bits they are good to read but depressing to organize any world view around. but ya we neeeeed to be able to challenge anything and comedy may be the last space in which this can genuinely function

Now, if we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, reproductive health services, we could lower that by, perhaps, 10 or 15%. But there, we see an increase of about 1.3."

I kind of feel like, why do we care about how comedians feel about real issues? It's a hard and weird question but I mean why are we asking him about Ghilane Maxwell and conspiracy theories? Was he in the CIA? I mean really, who gives a shit?! This guy is a comedian who obviously can't stop eating donuts but Lex is going to ask him about this complex stuff? It feels dis-ingenuousness. This is a fat guy with very little discipline, why are we concerned with his opinions???

  • Loved this podcast. On a serious note: Lex, Bill Gates was part of a large amount of people at Microsoft that had a big impact on all of us with the personal computer. Windows Smartphones flopped because they were garbage...Gates should have rode off in the sunset with his billions and live the life none of us could dream of. The money he and any other billionaire donates is called Philanthropy. A lot of this money never reaches anyone on the middle or low class. Example...If billionaires paid off mortgages for single family home owners under $150k in a lottery type system a few times a year that would help some families with the biggest weight around their necks. That would help the family life inside those homes and lead to young adults leading better lives even if they don't breach the middle class. Most of The money tech billionaires "give" away gets back to them via tax breaks or returned favors. Lex, if you came to Philly and I tool you for a ride around the Bad Lands in Kensington at night and also during the day you would understand what I am talking about. A lot of good people get up early everyday and walk to the bus stop in dangerous places and these people will soon be considered non-essential. These are the same people that could not afford a PC or an internet connection due to the fact they need to eat a few times a week. Society is depressed in so many ways, also broken, yet still beautiful. I can never just type out one sentence. Always a lot of thoughts bouncing around in my brain. To conclude on a not so serious note: Tim Dillion is that fat friend no one is allowed to call fat...He's Husky. He is funny as hell, there are a lot of people out there that have wild stories from living a wild life but not many can deliver like Tim. He is also a lot smarter then most people. You learn the most in life from experiences, losses, and mistakes - most of all from reflecting back on those moments in life. That's what living is all about.

    • Exactly, the facebook charity zuck & his wife set up for their son is an llc. It's not an actual charity, that way he can & does use it for political donations. Bill gates owns share in glacsosmith klen & johnson & johnson amongst many other companies. His charity makes donations to these companies. It's just a tax free route to give shuffle money around. It's transparent af. I like the idea of paying mortgages off instead of bailing out the banks, ive often thought why should our money be used to finance the yoke over our own shoulders.
