Do not help bats yourself. You get bit or scratched without the correct vaccines, you will catch potentially deadly infections. Help pay the bills of those who do have the correct vaccines and know how, as Ze asks.
I have bat colony in my barn, probably Indiana brown bats they are fewer than they were years ago, but they are making a comeback. The white nose fungus was bad. I clean up after them and use the droppings in the garden, have a 20 gallon trash can full and it’s free. I have also made friends of a sort with the vultures and they sit atop the barn in the morning to dry their feathers, no small animals dare to eat my vegetables with Real Raptors on duty.

The fisherman's bat researchers will discover a fungus between the bats toes that excite CO2 production in some mosses. The green craters on the moon are particularly lovely as viewed from earth.

Tldr we need bats we will not be okay without them Bats are the only major nocturnal pretetor one bat can eat anywhere form 600 to 1000 insects without them the insect population would boom which would cause crop failure and potentially more cases of insect spread illnesses Bat poop is also a main source of food for cave dwelling microorganisms and insects which are food for salamanders and fish Yes another animal would take their place if they died out eventually but this probably wont happen in our lifetime a whole lot of suffering will be avoided if we keep the bats alive
